Project Aim:

HMC served as a Strategic Advisor to the UK Blue Belt Programme, aiming to enhance marine management efforts across UK Overseas Territories (UKOTs). The primary objective was to provide expert guidance on the program's structure and facilitate the development and implementation of effective marine policies, regulatory frameworks, compliance, and enforcement strategies in these territories.

Project Outcome:

Through its strategic advisory role, HMC played a pivotal part in advancing marine management and conservation efforts in the UK Overseas Territories, contributing to the sustainable stewardship of these unique and diverse marine ecosystems.

In collaboration with the UK Blue Belt Programme, HMC’s strategic advisory significantly bolstered marine management capabilities across UK Overseas Territories (UKOTs), fostering ecological preservation and sustainable marine practices.

  • Strategic Program Design: HMC contributed valuable strategic insights to strengthen the structural design of the UK Blue Belt Programme, optimising its ability to manage and protect marine environments within UKOTs, ensuring they are aligned with international best practices.
  • Policy Development: Through meticulous advisory, HMC aided in formulating comprehensive marine policies. These policies were tailored to the unique ecological landscapes and conservation needs of each UK overseas territory, ensuring sustainable marine practices.
