A set of WWF-owned policy aims for UK Ocean Recovery which generate change through the identification of mutual interests aligning sustainable future aims to government objectives.
WWF, together with Sky Ocean Rescue, delivered a campaign to set the UK on a path to ocean recovery. This campaign covered WWF priority areas of Marine Protected Areas, climate and nature-positive fisheries, emissions reduction to net-zero, habitat restoration and improved holistic governance, whilst also supporting new forms of investment and finance for a sustainable Blue Economy.
HMC worked with the WWF Marine Policy Team to develop detailed policy requests, improving ambition on UK marine restoration and identifying ways to secure government interest.
We supported the WWF in understanding the UK marine policy landscape, to help them find areas of mutual interest with government, and to frame their campaign in ways that aligned with government objectives whilst providing direction for a more sustainable future.
