Joined up capacity building and education across the Eastern Caribbean, supporting the delivery of coastal and marine spatial planning.
HMC delivered institutional strengthening and knowledge services across St Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica and Grenada as part of the Caribbean Regional Oceanscape Project. Using expert marine policy and management knowledge, this project developed communication materials on the importance and challenges of managing the oceans effectively for a Blue Economy.
This included an online portal for a Blue Economy, five e-books, a virtual learning course, primary school educational games and a video on the importance of a Blue Economy for the eastern Caribbean, as well delivering 3 webinars on a Blue Economy to government officials, students and the general public, and the OECS Council of Environmental Ministers.
