Howell Marine Consulting (HMC) works at the interface between marine science, policy, planning, finance and delivery. Our projects support better decisions for the ocean and coasts, spanning areas such as offshore wind, marine planning, fisheries, nature recovery and ocean finance. You can find out more about our recent work on our website: www.howellmarine.co.uk
As our work continues to grow, we are building an HMC Associate Pool: a flexible network of trusted independent specialists, consultants and small organisations who may be able to support HMC-led bids and projects where additional expertise, perspective or short-term capacity is needed.
We are interested in hearing from people and organisations working across areas including ocean governance, ocean finance, marine policy and regulation, marine spatial planning, offshore wind, fisheries, marine protected areas, marine restoration, natural capital and related topics.
We are especially keen to hear from specialists with skills in:
As we look to expand our global network, we would particularly welcome expressions of interest from experts based in, or with significant experience working in, key regions including the Western Indian Ocean, Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
Joining the HMC Associate Pool is a way for us to get to know people we may wish to bring into HMC-led teams where a project requires additional specialist input, regional expertise or delivery resilience. Associate opportunities would be agreed on a project-by-project basis through a specific subcontract. Inclusion in the Associate Pool is not an offer of employment and does not guarantee future work.
What matters to us is good judgement, practical expertise, clarity of thinking and a genuine interest in helping decision-makers navigate complex marine and coastal issues.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
